| At their last meeting the
Prest. & Directors of this Road {Northeast &
Southwest Alabama RR} authorised me to negotiate $150,000.00 of
their first Mortgage Bonds, Secured by lien on the road, its lands &
other assetts. They also authorised a lease of that portion of the road
now in operation between Meridian & York Stations. |
| I would like to raise above
sum from your company either by sale or hypothecation of Bonds & also to
lease to the Company the above named portion of our road. By this
arrangement, you would at all times have the funds in your own hands to
pay the coupons on Bonds held by you. Should such an arrangement as
suggested either as to Bonds or lease or both be favored by your Board I
would respectfully ask that you authorise your President, Executive
Committee or some other party to act in the matter, with whom I will
meet at an early day in Mobile or some convenient point on the road to
confer as to terms &c. |
