   I Jno. A. Williams hereby certify and affirm that the Buffalo Bayou Brazos & Colorado Railway Co. have completed and have now in actual use Eighty Miles Six Hundred & seventeen thousandths of a mile of main track, extending from Harrisburg in Harris County to Alleyton Depot (about 2 1/2 miles East from Columbus) in Colorado County.
   That the said Company has completed, under my direction as Chief Engineer, in addition to the main track as above stated, Two Miles & Five Hundred fifty-two thousandths of a mile of Turnouts or Side Tracks.

Total 83   160/1000 Miles
   That the said Company have built their entire road and turnouts with Rails of the full weight prescribed by the General R. R. law; that they have filed Maps & profiles as required, and generally so complied with all the Laws applicable to Railroads, a to entitle said Company to the benefits of the Acts of the Legislature passed to encourage the construction of Railroads.
