Since my dispatch General Johnston has
concluded to send thirteen of the forty-eight cars from here loaded
with cotton for New Berne, and wishes the train to leave here
between 9 and 10 o'clock, instead of at daylight. Please have engine
here large enough to carry the thirteen cars, and have the other
thirty-five ready at Shops to go on with this train without delay.
Answer at once. |
