| As requested by you, all rolling-stock
that could be spared from south and east of Columbia was brought out
on this line {Charlotte & South Carolina
RR}. It must evidently be destroyed unless the gauge of the
road from Charlotte to Danville {North
Carolina RR and Piedmont RR} be widened. Please give the
necessary orders forthwith. |
