| Damage to the Railroads |
| The damage to the railroads in
East Tennessee {East Tennessee & Virginia RR
and East Tennessee & Georgia RR} by the incendiarism of
last week is estimated at $50,000. The bridging burned on the Western
& Atlantic road was between five and six hundred feed; what its
estimated cost was we have not learned. The loss on all the roads,
however, from the destruction of property, is trifling compared with
that resulting from the interruption of the transportation. |
