We learn that at a meeting of
the Directors of the Wilmington & Weldon Railroad, held on the
19th instant, Stephen D. Wallace, Esq., was chosen to fill the vacancy
in the Directory occasioned by the death of Captain Gilbert Potter. |
P. K. Dickinson, Esq., was
nominated to fill the vacancy in the office of President, occasioned
by the sudden death of Hon. Wm. S. Ashe. Mr. Dickinson declining to
accept the office, S. D. Wallace, Esq., was unanimously chosen by the
Directors. |
