Wilmington, N. C., Dec. 10th, 1861
 
   Wanted by this Company, for the ensuing year, the following Negroes:
150 Laborers Able bodied Negroes of good character
20 Train Hands
18 Firemen
20 Blacksmiths and Strikers
20 Carpenters
   Owners are requested to make their applications to the undersigned for the hire of any of the above described hands.
   Many applications are made to supply hands at very low rates for the ensuing year, and the desire of the Company is to give the preference to the owners of negroes along the line of the Road before hiring from a distance.
