A., Tenn. & O. Railroad   {Atlantic, Tennessee & Ohio RR}
   The Annual meeting of the stockholders in this Company, was held in Charlotte on Thursday last. By referring to the above Report of the President of the C. & S. C. Railroad {Charlotte & South Carolina RR}, (who is also President of the A. T. & O. Railroad) it will be seen that it is contemplated to finish the Road to Statesville by the month of June, 45 1/2 miles, at a cost of $400,000, including Depots and water stations being a little over $3,600 per mile. The following gentlemen were elected Directors for the ensuing year.
   Wm. Johnston, J. A. Young, David Parks, of Mecklenburg county, Jos. W. Stockton, A. K. Simonton, Geo E. Davidson, R. I. McDowell, of Iredell county.
   Wm. Johnston was re-elected president, W. I. Wristop, Sec'y and Treas', and T. J. Sumner, Engineer.
