Track Laying
The laying of the track on this end of the Piedmont Railroad was commenced yesterday morning, by the energetic contractors, Messrs. Wilkes & Brother. We presume the road will be finished in a few weeks.
The machinery of the Manassas Gap Railroad has been moved to this place where it will be put in running order and do the repairs on the Piedmont road -- the rolling stock of the former road having been leased to the Piedmont. The shops for this machinery are already erected.
