The enemy are reported to have destroyed
the Vicksburg, Shreveport & Texas Rail Road as far out as Delhi,
Thirty-Eight miles distant. The bridges over the Tensas River and
Bayou Macon are said to have been burned. The telegraph lines to
Providence and Monroe as far as Delhi. |
