On the Cars, Morton, Mississippi |

Whereas: The Southern Rail Road Company
have kindly furnished and placed at the disposal of the volunteer
Southrons an extra train of cars for the purpose of transporting us to
Corinth, direct, with the utmost expedition, Therefore, Be It
Resolved, That the thanks of the Company are due and are hereby
tendered to the President and Directors of the Southern {(of
Mississippi)} Rail Road Company for their
kind attention to our comfort, and their efforts for our speedy
transmission to the Seat of War; That we will ever remember their
kindness prompted as it was by the highest interest of patriotism.
Resolved, That these Resolutions be published in the Vicksburg papers. |
