From the Southern Watchman (Athens, Ga.)

April 3, 1861

The Dalton North Georgia Times, says that on Saturday last two Columbiads, weighing sixteen thousands passed that place on the way {on the Western & Atlantic RR} to Fort Morgan, near Mobile, Ala., and on Tuesday two others of enormous size, and two large cannons, passed through on the way to Savannah.
The Savannah Republican of the 30th instant mentions the arrival at that city, the day previous, of an eight and a half inch Columbiad, via the Central (of Georgia) railroad, and consigned to Gov. Brown.
