| Transportation of Troops and Munitions of
War by Railroad -- A New Office Created |
| Richmond, April 17th |
| The House today passed a bill
to provide for the safe and expeditious transportation of troops and
munitions of war by Railroads by six majority. The bill creates the
office of Military Chief of Railroad Transportation, with a salary of
five thousand dollars per annum. |
