Fire at Reeves' Station |
Destruction of Government Stores |
We regret to lean that the
Government store at Reeves' Station, on the South Carolina Railroad,
just below Branchville, was destroyed by fire about 11 o'clock Sunday
morning, together with fifty thousand rations of bacon and a large
quantity of flour and sugar. There were about three hundred hogs in
the building. The fire originated, we learn, from some saw dust in a
box which was being used in smoking bacon. |
