| Board of Internal Improvement |
| At a meeting of this Board, held in the
Executive Office on Saturday last, present, His Excellency Gov. Vance
and John U. Kirkland, Esq., the following appointments were made: |
| State Directors in the Wilmington {&
Weldon} Road, George W. Collier, of Wayne, William A. Wright,
of New Hanover, and W. W. Brickell, of Halifax. |
| Col. Thos. D. Meares, of Brunswick, was
appointed State proxy in the Wilmington & Manchester Road, and O.
G. Parsley State proxy in the Wilmington & Weldon Road. |
| These are excellent appointments. |
