Railroad accidents have become so frequent
on our North Carolina roads of late as to excite alarm. The fact is,
our roads are so overdone with business as to render it difficult to
avoid them. It is important that the managers of our roads be not
interfered with. They are disposed to do their duty. We learn that the
down train from the West on Sunday morning from Charlotte, took fire
near the Company's Shops, which consumed several cars and the baggage
train. We have not learned particulars. |
