Important to Norfolk Shippers |
A dispatch from Campbell
Wallace, Esc., President of the East Tennessee & Georgia Railroad, to W.
Mahone, Esq., President of the Norfolk & Petersburg Railroad, 10th
inst., says: |
"There is no tariff
obstructions on goods on goods going to Nashville and Memphis thisway.
This may be relied upon. |
"All goods for this section of
the country shipped by the Virginia Steamship Company's steamers, via
Norfolk, will therefore reach their destinations promptly, and free from
'tariff obstructions.' |
