   Direct Route to the West and the Virginia Springs, Via Southside Railroad from Petersburg to Lynchburg; via Virginia & Tennessee road from Lynchburg to Bristol; via East Tennessee & Virginia road from Bristol to Knoxville; via Eat Tennessee & Georgia road from Knoxville to Dalton; via Western & Atlantic road from Dalton to Chattanooga, via Nashville & Chattanooga road from Chattanooga to Stevenson; via Memphis & Charleston road from Stevenson to Memphis.
   Through Tickets issued to the above points and the Springs, and baggage checked through at the Office South Side Railroad, Petersburg.
   The following Schedule will be run on the South Side Railroad, commencing on Sunday next, the 4th July instant, and continue until further notice.
Mail and Passenger Train
   Connecting with the Richmond & Danville trains at Burkeville, (Junction) and with the Through Route at Lynchburg:
Leave Petersburg daily 5:30 A. M.
Arrive at Burkeville (Junction) 8:16     "
Arrive at Farmville 9:25      "
Arrive at Lynchburg 12:30 P. M.
Leave Lynchburg, daily at 9:30      "
Arrive at Farmville 1        A. M.
Arrive at Burkeville (Junction) 2:15       "
Arrive at Petersburg 5:30       "
Freight Train
   Connecting with Richmond & Danville trains at the Junction:
Leave Petersburg daily 6     A. M.
Arrive at Burkeville (Junction) 12     M
Arrive at Farmville 1:40  P. M.
Arrive at Lynchburg 6:25     "
Leave Lynchburg, daily at 5        A. M.
Arrive at Farmville 2:20      "
Arrive at Burkeville (Junction) 11:40 A. M.
Arrive at Petersburg 4:50   P. M.
   An accommodation passenger car for the way or local travel, will be attached to the train leaving Lynchburg with Freight at 5:30 A. M., and the passengers going up or West will take the mail train at 5:30 o'clock A. M.
   Stopping places, to take on and put off passengers, to be strictly observed by those in charge of the Train, and in no case will the Train be stopped at any other point.
   Sutherland's, Anderson's Saw Mill, Ford's, Wilson's, Welville, Black's & White's, Nottoway C. H., Burkeville, Rice's, High Bridge, Farmville, Prospect, Pamplin's, Evergreen, Appomattox, Spout Spring, Concord, James River.
City Point Branch South Side Railroad -- Freight and Passenger Trains
Leave Petersburg daily (Sundays excepted) 7:00 A. M.
Arrive at City Point 7:45 A. M.
Leave City Point 8:30 A. M.
Arrive at Petersburg 9:15 A. M.
   The above Trains connect with the James River Steamers leaving City Point for Norfolk, and every Saturday morning and Tuesday evening with the fine Steamers Roanoke and Jamestown bound for New York.
   The Afternoon Train on this Road will be run only when there is business to justify it. Stopping places to put on and take off passengers to be strictly observed by those in charge of the Train, and in no case will th Train be stopped at any other point: Friend's Crossing, Cedar Level, and Birchett's Crossing.
