| Richmond, Oct. 18th, 1861 |
| The Board of
Directors, at their meeting on the 17th last, passed the following
resolution: |
| "Resolved, That
a dividend of two dollars and a half per share on the common stock of
the Company be paid on the 1st day of November next, in bankable
currency as to all amounts less than one hundred dollars, and at the
option of the Company, in similar funds, in Treasury notes of the
State of Virginia or in the bonds of the Confederate States as to all
sums exceeding one hundred dollars. |
