| Burning of a Railroad bridge |
| Stoney Creek bridge, on the Petersburg and
Weldon railroad {Petersburg RR}, was burnt
by the Yankees on Saturdaynight. This was done to prevent reinforcements
being sent to Pickett at Petersburg, but it came too late. |
