A noble contribution
   The Board of Directors of the Central Railroad Company of Georgia passed the following resolutions on the 21st inst.:
   Resolved, That this company will contribute the sum of one thousand dollars in cash, and one hundred dollars per month, during the continuance of the war, toward a fund to be raised for the benefit of the families of those persons belonging to Savannah who have volunteered, or who may volunteer, to serve in the army.
   Resolved, That the President be, and he is hereby, instructed to make this subscription, and to pay the amount so soon as a committee shall be appointed by the City Council of Savannah to take charge of and distribute the fund.
