| Our City Council has promptly
responded to the order of Governor Letcher, requiring tracks to be
laid connecting the several Railroad depots.
The work is to be commenced immediately, and will doubtless soon be
complete. The bridge over the Appomattox, however, offers an
obstruction, as it is not in a condition to bear the weight of a
train. |
