| The Danville and Greensboro' connection |
| Congress has passed, and the
President approved, the bill authorizing a railway
connection between Danville, Va., and Greensboro', N. C. {the
Piedmont RR} It appropriates one million dollars. This measure
has been recommended and advocated as a military necessity. |
