| Railroads are now an especial object of
government vigilance. If all the Presidents and Directors insist on
keeping out of the service favorites and unnecessary employees, they
may find that they do their friends more harm than good. Gen. Holmes
cannot do better than to have a cat's eye on the Railroad rat-holes. |
