Texas and New Orleans Great Southwestern Passenger Route, conveying the Confederate States Mail and Southwestern Express
 
   Train leaves Depot of N. O. & G. W. Railroad {New Orleans, Opelousas & Great Western RR}, at Algiers, daily, at 8 o'clock A. M. Passengers leave the Hotels at 7 o'clock, connecting at the Opelousas Landing with the Ferry Boat, leaving at half past 7 o'clock.
   Connecting with last mail passenger packet CRICKET and ST. MARY, at Berwick's Bay, daily, to Pattersonville, Centerville, Franklin, Charenton, Jeneretts and New Iberia.
   Connecting regularly with Powell, Taylor & Co.'s elegant double daily four horse Post Coaches to Niblett's Bluff.
   Connecting with Steamboat and Railroad to Houston, Texas
From N. O. to Berwick's Bay by railroad 80 miles
" Berwick's to New Iberia by steamboat 70
" New Iberia to Niblett's Bluff by a double daily line four horse post coaches 140
" Niblett's Bluff to Beaumont by steamer 70
" Beaumont to Houston by railroad 84

   Connecting at Houston with Railroad and Stage Lines to Austin, San Antonio, Matagorda, Indianola, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, and all important points in Texas.
   Passengers to secure seats in the Stages and not be detained on the route, must purchase Through Tickets, and have their names Registered on the Way Bill, by applying at the Railroad, Steamboat and Stage Office, St. Charles Hotel, Rotunda, upstairs.
