| The last Petersburg (Va.)
Express says, the shipment of cotton from Memphis by railroad through
that place to Norfolk, continues to increase. It is immediately
transferred to the body of the fine steamers that ply between Virginia's
great commercial mart and the big cities of the North and East. |
