The Hempstead Courier learns
that the damage, directly and indirectly, incidental to the smash-up
at Clear Creek on the {Houston & Texas} Central
railroad including the inconvenience of the present mode of running,
new bridge, &c., will not exceed $40,000. The Directory have
decided to repair the present bridge for present use, and erect a new
and substantial one as soon as possible. |
