Carrying the U. S. Mail and Adam's Express,
via Memphis and Charleston, East Tennessee and Virginia
Railroads. |
The recent change of schedules renders it
the quickest route to the North and East. No delay at Grand Junction
-- Entirely Through Slave Territory -- 120 Miles Shorter Than Any
Other Route. |
Connects
at Decatur, Ala., with the Tennessee & Alabama Road for Nashville,
Louisville, Cincinnati, Pittsburg, &c. At Stevenson with Nashville
& Chattanooga Railroad. Shorter by several hours than other lines
to these points. |
This is
undeniably the only Southern and direct route from New Orleans to all
points North, East, West, South-west, &c. |
