Spartanburg & Union Railroad |
A meeting of the Directors of
the above company was held at the Walker House on yesterday evening,
the 12th instant. A letter of resignation was received from the late
President Straughn, whereupon an election was held, which resulted in
the selection of Capt. T. B. Jeter, of Union, as President. Mr.
Hudgens, who has heretofore acted as Secretary and Treasurer, was
continued for the present as such. With such officers, and a
determination of the Directors to reduce expenditures, the Road must
do well. |
