Col. Sam. Tate, President of
this road, imparts the gratifying intelligence to us, that he expects
to have his road in running order between Stevenson and Huntsville by
the first of November, and will be enabled to continue on to Tescumbia
in a short time thereafter, if the Yankees in West Tennessee and
Mississippi, are driven away, or kept from encroaching on him. |
