Brunswick & Florida Railroad |
Mr. H. H. Pittar, Chief
Engineer of the B&F Railroad, with his assistants, arrived in our
village on Friday last. They have surveyed and located the line from
Tebeauville, or No. 9, on the S. A. & G. Railroad
{Savannah, Albany & Gulf RR} to Waresboro. On Monday, Mr. Brooks,
the contractor, will commence his work of grading his contract, which
extends from Tebeauville to Waresboro, and has, we learn, one hundred
hands to put immediately on the work. |
The road is finished from
Brunswick to Big Creek, and only needs some repairs to the bridges and
trestle work to be in order for starting the regular train. Mr. Pittar
is now engaged in locating the line between Tebeauville and Big Creek,
and soon as that is completed, will proceed to put the finished part of
the Road in repair and start the regular train. |
