Brunswick & Albany Rail Road {Brunswick
& Florida RR until December 1861} |
We learn from the President of
this road. Mr. H. G. Wheeler, that the cars are now running from
Brunswick to Waynesville; that the tresseling over the Satilla River
will be completed in four or five days, and that the laying of the
track will be recommenced early nest week. We also learn from Mr.
Wheeler, that he has iron enough on the wharf at Brunswick, to lay the
track three miles west of this place, and that the utmost energy will
be employed till the passenger who breakfasts in Brunswick, shall be
able to dine in Waresboro. The grading between this point and Big
Creek is progressing to completion, and in three weeks will be
finished. A heavy force is to be put to track-laying immediately, and
the iron will be put upon the cross-ties as fast as it is possible for
it to be done. So that in thirteen weeks, at the out side, we may look
out for the engine. |
