Northern Capitalists Coming South |
The Petersburg (Va.) Express
says: "The regular trains to the South are daily heavily loaded
with through passengers, many of whom consist of Northern capitalists
en route for South Carolina and other Southern States. A gentleman
from New York informs us that there are three thousand prominent
moneyed men in that city who are now prepared to come South, having
determined upon this course in the event of a dissolution of the
Union." |
