The Charleston Train
{Memphis & Charleston RR} |
Railroading is not quite so
active as stockholders would like to see it. We witnessed the arrival
of the Charleston train yesterday at 1 P. M., and were somewhat
surprised to see so few persons emerge from its parallelogram. There
were more omnibus and hack drives, pickpockets and porters, carriers
and constables than passengers. We were told, however, that at Grand
Junction the train was full as it could be. |
