Railroad Accident |
When the railroad train was
coming into the {Memphis &} Charleston
depot at 5 o'clock last evening, the breakman, a stout, fine Irishman,
in stepping off while the cars were in motion, slipped and fell, and
the wheels passed over one foot, crushing it from heel to toe. A
doctor was called, who pronounced immediate amputation to be necessary
to escape the fatal horrors of lockjaw. |
