Notice to Shippers! |
Memphis & Charleston R. R. Office |
Memphis, January 11, 1862 |
The Memphis & Charleston
Railroad Company will, until further notice, charge on all the goods
shipped through to points beyond Chattanooga, their proportion of the
through rate adopted in convention at Chattanooga, on the 4th of June
last, but will not be responsible for the rate on other roads, or for
damages or delays occurring off their own roads. |

{I believe the wrong
convention was referenced, the correct one being the Chattanooga
convention of October 4} |
