About the 1st of January we gave the number of miles of railroad completed in the State, which was in the aggregate as follows:
In operation 399 Graded 177
Increase in 4 mos. 45 Graded 46
The amount now completed and graded is as follows, as near as we can learn:

In operation

Graded ahead
Eastern Texas 24 20
Texas & N. O. 108 --
Galveston & Houston 50 --
Brazoria 50 25
Buffalo, B. B. & C. 75 10
Houston & T. C. 82 18
Washington County 22 --
San Antonio & M. G. 25 --

Southern Pacific 27 20
Memphis, El P. & P. -- --
   Total 464 145
   Total in January 399 177
   Increase 65 Decrease 32
Thus it will be seen that our railroad men have completed 65 miles in the last 5 months, by far the largest amount of railroad ever completed in the same length of time in this State. The whole amount completed since 1st of September is 110 miles.
