| The train on the Texas &
New Orleans road was thrown from the track near Beaumont on Friday by
running over a cow. A soldier of Nicholds' battery, named Hooker, of
Panola county, was killed. Another man was severely wounded. The
locomotive was considerably injured. The trains will be delayed a day
or two. |
