Galveston, April 1, 1863

Editor Telegraph,
   *****
Galveston has been rendered impregnable by our engineers, and the enemy's flag will never again wave over our Island City. *****
The locomotive "Perseverance" made a trip to Fort Point yesterday {on the extension of the Galveston, Houston & Henderson RR}. She is fitly named.
Yours,
Sioux
