We learn that the H. & T.
C. R. R. {Houston & Texas Central RR} has
changed hands, and is now owned by Wm. J. Hutchins, of Houston, and D.
H. Paige. Of the latter gentleman, we cannot speak; but of Mr. H. we
can say that the road could not be entrusted to safer keeping. We
hope, in the meantime, that those creditors of the old Company, who
are not secured by liens or mortgages, will have no cause to regret
the transfer. |
