| On Saturday morning at about 9
o'clock some cotton on the platform at the {Houston
& Texas} Central Depot took fire
from sparks from the locomotive. The alarm was given and the people
rushed to the rescue of the fleecy king. The fire was extinguished
with the loss of a few bales. |
