N. C. Railroad |
We learn that the Board of Directors of
the N. Carolina Railroad have offered T. J. Sumner, Esq., the
Superintendency of the Road at a salary of 4,000 per annum. Mr. Sumner
is now the Superintendent of the Charlotte & S. C. Railroad. We
have not learned whether Mr. Sumner intends to accept the position of
the N. C. Road or not. If he does, the public may expect the Road to
be well managed. His superior in the management of Railroads would be
hard to find. |
