Philip Barrow, Jno. P. Poindexter and A. J. Stafford of Forsyth county
William A. Lash, John J. Martin and James Riason of Stokes county
Jesse H. Linnsay, Levi M. Scott, and Ralph Gorrell of Guilford county
Bedford Brown, Thomas D. Johnson, Allen Green, and Montford McGee of Caswell county
Giles Mebane, Jesse Gant, and Eli J. Watson of Alamance
John W. Cunningham, Edwin G. Reed, and Thomas McGee of Person county
William Johnston of the town of Charlotte
James C. Turrentine and William F. Strayhorn of Orange county
Benjamin A. Kittrell of the town of Lexington
H. C. Jones, Sr., Salisbury
Jonathan Worth of the town of Asheboro
and William P. Taylor of Pittsboro
   You are hereby requested to meet at the office of the Secretary of War in the city of Richmond at eleven o’clock a.m. on Tuesday on the ____ day of April, 1862 for the purpose of conferring with the Secretary of War in regard to the proposed construction of the Piedmont Railroad.
   This conference is essential to the immediate prosecution of the work.  The Commissioners are therefore requested to attend without fail.
