| Railroad Accident |
| We find the following items
among the telegraph items: |

| Richmond, Aug. 12 |
| There is a report in this
morning to the effect that the train in Manassas last night collided killing and wounding about twenty of Wigfall's command. No particulars
have been obtained. |

| Richmond, Aug. 12 |
| An accident occurred Sunday
near 10 o'clock, about 17 miles from Richmond, on the Manassas route,
occasioned by a land-slide deluging the rails. Eight cars with
soldiers were smashed and shivered to pieces. |
| Two companies from Louisville
were the principal sufferers, having one killed and twenty-three
wounded. |
