| The Louisiana Legislature at its late
session, passed an act to facilitate the building of the Louisiana
portion of the New Orleans & Texas Railroad; and the New Orleans
papers are urging on capitalists to take hold of the matter and
complete the road at once. They claim that it is a military necessity,
and the prospects are that the work will be carried on with energy. We
hope to see it accomplished. |
