Be Cautious! |
The vast amount of transportation on our
Railroads keep the Rolling Stock so constantly employed, that it is
not apt to be so closely and carefully inspected as it should be.
Hence the frequent breaking of axles, couplings, &c., to the
serious jeopardy of precious lives. Such an accident occurred near
Thomasville on the 26th ult. A large number of persons narrowly
escaped mangling and death. Will not the Railroad authorities use all
possible caution? |
