N. Carolina Railroad |
Paul C. Cameron, Esq., has resigned the
office of President of the North Carolina Railroad. At a meeting of
the Board of Directors last week, Thomas Webb, Esq., of this place,
was chosen to fill the vacancy. Mr. Webb is prompt and energetic in
business, and no doubt will conscientiously perform the responsible
duties of the office with his best ability and judgment; but whether
he will be able to escape the censure which has been so liberally
bestowed upon his predecessors, remains to be seen. |
