The Macon & Brunswick Railroad Co. vs.
Confederate States |
We learn that the Confederate
authorities having impressed a portion of the iron of the above company
for the connection of the Macon & Western Road to Atlanta, a bill of
injunction has been filed against the impressment. Judge Lochrane
sustains the injunction, we learn upon the ground that the Macon &
Brunswick Road is of paramount importance to the interest of this city
and section, and that iron is to be had from other Roads of less general
use. In short that the necessity for this particular iron is not so
imperative as to justify its seizure for the Government use. |
