We learn a portion of the
Railroad bridge at Weldon {on the Petersburg RR}
was carried away by the late flood. We further learn that a
number of bridges, mills, &c., were swept away in Granville county
and that Tar River was never known to be so high before, even by the
"oldest inhabitants." |
