An accident occurred yesterday on the down
train of the South Carolina Railroad, while at Blackville. Donald
McCoy, from Irwin County, Ga., a member of Capt. Mathew's Company,
61st Georgia Regiment, fell between the cars and the freight platform,
and was considerably bruised, but not seriously injured. A trifling
collision which occurred further up the road yesterday morning, and by
which no one was hurt, delayed for several hours the Augusta train,
due here at half past three o'clock yesterday afternoon. |
